How come drums in modern music sound all the same?

Guys, I did not mean to put down Electronic Drums in general. They are fine to rehearse and to gig and to record with. What I don't like is the fact that for current MAJOR mainstream Pop music (that's in the top of the charts) so many sampled drum loops and sounds are used instead of human beings who make a song come alive. I mean, mainstream producers earn a lot of money with their products but they invest so little love producing it. Compare current Taylor Swift/Justin Biber productions with Elton John/Billy Joel productions, songs topping the charts now and then. That's basically what I'm trying to say... Just in case you watched to the end. All animal noises including the grousing peasant are taken from the Nursery Rhyme Collection (1).
