Prayer Request: My teacher is playing in the U.S. Women's Chess Championship. She is the sole leader going into Round 6 today. Several other strong contenders are tied for second just a half point behind her. It is not easy for her to compete at this level while forced to wear a mask. Please pray with me (and my prayer chain) for her over this next week. I am asking God to help her win this tournament not because she is my teacher and my friend, but because she is a devout, outspoken Christian, a rarity in the world of chess, and it would be a huge encouragement to the many chess players, especially our young women, who struggle to keep their faith in the midst of a rather godless, hedonistic environment.
