    Springfield Armory manufactures a replica of the M14. Chambered at .308, but will fire 7.62 x 51. I carried one in basic 1968. Great weapon, that is what she has.

    the M1A is not really a replica, just no facility for a rock and roll switch. One could take a couple of each apart, throw the parts in a box, give it a couple of good shakes and reassemble them. Excepting only the parts for the rock and roll switch.
