I was a long time fan of his work, and admired his commitment to the martial arts. But once upon a time, the mighty Chuck Norris was backed down by an eight year old girl. Long ago, Chuck was in New York for a book signing, his auto biography, I believe, and a woman had stood in line to get her copy signed. Along with her was her daughter, with a book she had gotten for herself. Care Bears, something... After her mother got her book autographed, the little girl stepped up and asked if Chuck would sign her Care Bears book as well. Chuck froze for a long moment, and then hurriedly turned to his handlers, presumably publishers and lawyers to see what should be done. The little girl, seeing this, started to play the room like a legend, and eventually Chuck conceded. Years later I married that girl, and she still has fond memories of Chuck.
