President Trump has appointed Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, to the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, filling the position her husband held before his assassination in September 2025.
Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, in what authorities described as a political assassination. The suspect, Tyler James Robinson, was arrested and charged with capital murder.
