New term for me today AUTOSEXUAL! An autosexual is a person whose sexual orientation involves being primarily sexually attracted to themselves rather than to others. This can manifest as finding greater arousal and satisfaction through self-stimulation, such as masturbation, compared to partnered sexual activities. Autosexuality exists on a spectrum and doesn’t preclude romantic attractions to others or occasional interest in partnered sex, but the core preference is for oneself. It’s distinct from autoeroticism, which refers more broadly to self-stimulated sexual activity without necessarily implying an orientation. People of any gender or other sexual orientations can identify as autosexual.
