EXCLUSIVE: On Jan. 21, Nixon Rubilio Mayen-Fernandez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras previously convicted for sexually assaulting his 11-year-old sister was arrested.
ICE tells @BorderHawkNews that the operation occurred in Huntsville, AL coordinating with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office and the North Alabama Homeland Security Task Force.
“Not only did this criminal illegal alien unlawfully enter the United States, but he also committed a heinous sex crime against his own family,” said Homeland Security Investigations in Georgia and Alabama Special Agent in Charge Steven N. Schrank.
“ICE is committed to removing public safety threats from our streets, especially those who commit crimes against children. We deeply value our strong partnership with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office as it helps bringing dangerous criminals to justice and keeping our communities safe.”
Mayen-Fernand illegally entered in the United States approximately a decade ago, without inspection or admission at a designated port of entry. U.S. Border Patrol previously arrested him in 2015 and issued him a notice to appear. In October 2016, an immigration judge in Texas, ordered his removal in absentia after he failed to appear for his hearing.
