Where Strength Learns to Be Gentle
The elders say protection
is not the act of standing tall,
but the courage to soften
without breaking.
Some bonds are older than names.
They are formed in trust,
renewed each time the world grows loud
And we choose closeness instead.
What carries great power
also carries responsibility—
to shelter,
to endure,
to hold without harm.
I was taught this quietly:
True strength does not dominate.
It listens.
It shares warmth.
It remembers that survival
is meant to be shared.
