Yes, multiple reports indicate that U.S. Border Patrol and ICE agents deployed pepper spray or similar chemical irritants during a confrontation “outside” Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026, which affected students and staff amid an arrest operation. The incident began when agents attempted to detain an individual “outside” the school, leading to a chaotic scene where “school employees intervened”, and a crowd “including students” gathered. Witnesses and union officials described agents using chemical weapons on school grounds without warnings, directly exposing high school students and staff to the irritants.
