A painting titled “Parsing Bill” by Australian-American artist Petrina Ryan-Kleid, depicting former President Bill Clinton lounging in a blue dress and red heels while pointing at the viewer, was indeed discovered hanging in Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse. It was first publicly reported in August 2019 after Epstein’s arrest, based on photos taken by a visitor to the home in 2012 and later confirmed in raid images. The artwork was created in 2012 as Ryan-Kleid’s thesis project at the New York Academy of Art (where Epstein was a board member and donor). She has described it as a satirical piece referencing Clinton’s Monica Lewinsky scandal (the blue dress alludes to Lewinsky’s infamous stained dress), not intending any Epstein connection. Epstein reportedly purchased or acquired it (details unclear) and displayed it prominently in his Upper East Side mansion.
