I am sick to my stomach. Two National Guardsmen doing their duty near the White House—one murdered in cold blood, the other fighting for his life—because the Biden-Harris administration rushed tens of thousands of Afghans into this country with laughably inadequate vetting after the catastrophic surrender in Kabul. They called it “Allies Welcome.” We were told the screening was “robust.” It was a lie. Thousands were waved through on parole with little or no biometric data, no reliable Afghan records, and zero consequences when red flags popped up later. The inspector general warned us. DHS admitted the gaps. And still they kept the pipeline wide open. Now Sarah Beckstrom is dead, Andrew Wolfe is clinging to life, and an Afghan evacuee who should never have been here is charged with executing American troops on American soil. This is not an “unfortunate accident.” This is the direct, predictable result of an administration that cared more about optics and headlines than American lives. I’m furious. Every veteran should be furious. Every parent who sends their kid to serve should be furious. We were promised these people were our allies. Instead, one of them put bullets in the heads of our own. Never again. Close the gaps. Fix the vetting. Hold someone accountable.
