It is with profound sorrow that we say farewell to John Kinsel Sr., one of the last surviving Navajo Code Talkers. At 107, he departs this world carrying a legacy written in courage and sacrifice. From 1942 to 1946, across Bougainville, Guam, and Iwo Jima, he spoke the sacred code that confounded the enemy and safeguarded countless lives. His voice helped win a war.
