Her mother (Anna), siblings, and extended family in the U.S. attended her funeral on August 27, but her father (Stanislav) initially could not due to Ukraine’s martial law restrictions on men of fighting age (18–60) leaving the country. However, Ukrainian authorities granted him humanitarian permission to travel shortly after, and he arrived in the U.S. to attend the services.
