🚨🚨BREAKING:Parent company Paramount will pay $16M to settle Trump’s CBS ‘60 Minutes’ lawsuit, which accused the network of election interference for heavily edited Kamala Harris interview.
Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS, agreed to pay $16 million to settle President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against CBS News over a “60 Minutes” interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. The lawsuit, initially filed in October 2024 for $10 billion and later amended to $20 billion, accused CBS of election interference by deceptively editing the interview to make Harris appear more coherent, particularly in her response to a question about the Israel-Gaza conflict. The settlement, reported on July 1, 2025, includes $16 million upfront to cover legal fees, case costs, and contributions to Trump’s future presidential library or charitable causes at his discretion. Additionally, there is an expectation of further allocations in the mid-eight figures for advertisements or public service announcements supporting conservative causes on CBS. The settlement does not include an admission of journalistic wrongdoing by CBS.
