Measles, along with mumps & chicken pox, was once considered a routine childhood disease. Over 99% of us who got it, got over it. In fact, the mortality rate for measles is ~0.2%. For mumps it's ~0.01%. And for chicken pox the mortality rate is ~0.002%.
