    I'm a baby boomer, and that's not the way I went to school. However according to mom, (bless her heart) that was the short cut they took. 😆 🤣

    In the 12 years of school, my was closed once because of a burst pipe. It was -28°. Now a days, they close the schools for 3 inches of snow.

    ‌ Elementary school was 2 block away. Jr. High about a mile and ¼. High school about a mile. I either walked or rode my bike until I got my driver's license.

    ‌, when I lived in the country, the bus picked us up. When the Jr High was built in the country, right out of town, the bus picked us up. When I was in High School, friends usually met in a place before school started. Or I drove to school.
