DOJ WON'T PROSECUTE GARLAND AFTER HOUSE CONTEMPT VOTE When is the government not guilty of a crime? When it says so, or, in this case, when it refuses to prosecute the crime. The US House of Representatives is the chamber that represents the direct will of the people. To refuse to cooperate with that authority is an insult to the American people. But when the body finds an uncooperative party in contempt of that authority, there must be a penalty to pay. When the party in contempt is allowed to determine its own fate, the concept of accountability to the American people is rendered null.
