Instead of â€œdevising (planning / scheming) wickednessâ€, be/have/do: Artless (free from deceit, cunning, not artificial, natural, simple, uncontrived) | Guileless | Sincere | Ingenuous | Innocent | Undesigning (no selfish motives) Sometimes people live so long in the dark â€“ they forget what it is like to live in the daylight. Our heart is wicked. People make decisions and they donâ€™t know the results. If you hear God calling, stop and listen. See Psalm 94:11-13. The Lord knows weâ€™re wicked. We are chastened- brought from that stage of vanity to know Godâ€™s will. The investment is for us to do Godâ€™s will â€“ not ours, so- there are always sacrifices (and how much you sacrifice). Give up thyself. The investment can reach deeper (as it can get) when one is called into the Work (to become a Worker {aka â€œpreacherâ€}). In eternity, we will look so wise. Donâ€™t live for our â€˜selfâ€™. It would be foolish for us if we invest everything for this life. Our lives do not have to be empty and meaningless. See Matthew 7:3-5. Work on your own sins, transgressions, iniquities, immoralities, and wickedness first â€“ to remove all of them from your spirit and soul and body â€“ and then, and only then, will you be able to help others â€“ to edify them. See Ephesians 6:11-13. David kept his sword (he was not a small man). We need to keep a distance (a separation) from evil and from wickedness â€“ that is what God has given us (to fight more effectively). See Psalm 19:7-11. Doing things â€˜our wayâ€™ and not â€˜His wayâ€™ shows selfishness, and itâ€™s also deceitful and wicked.
