43 years ago today, Brigadier Ezio Lucarelli was murdered while investigating a kidnapping. It turned out that the killers were Nuclei Armati Rivoluzionari terrorists, who had recently carried out a bank robbery in Treviso. The NAR operated in concert with Terza Posizione.
In 2004 Brigadier Lucarelli was awarded the gold Merito Civile medal in memoriam.
