Be the one who wakes up thankful each and every day. Be the one who speaks the truth, in everything you say. Be the one who understands that every trial is real, and a gentle touch, a listening ear, may help someone to heal. Be the one who comes to love, as a place to give, not take. Be the one who knows deep down that a heart can really break. Be the one who shelters love, from tears and wind and rain, and knows just as the storm will pass, so also will the pain. Be the one to compromise, when for the greater good. The one who will apologize, when you know ou really should. Be first to build those bridges back, be first to start anew, for friendships only last to stay the course, if the course laid out is true. Be the one who will call a friend, when you feel grief or pain. Be the one who will ask for help, don’t feel you should refrain. Be the one who is not afraid to say I’m not okay, for someone out there has your back, they’ll guard you in the fray. Be the one who understands you’re just a human being. Breathing, loving, laughing – hearing, touching, seeing. Accept you’re sometimes fragile, and it doesn’t make you weak, and you can only do your best in everything you seek.
