Seven years ago today, Patrolman Justin Martin and Sergeant Tony Beminio were murdered in a cowardly ambush by a racist with a history of picking stupid fights. Apparently the racist was retaliating for not being allowed to wave a Confederate flag in a stadium.
The killer is now serving life in prison.
