Happy Independence Day From Mount Rushmore! About 10:00 AM this morning I heard what sounded like a huge military jet flying at treetop level scream over our apartment complex. It didn't sound like a fighter jet, I know the difference between the two as I have lived in the flight pattern at the end of the runways of 2 Air Force bases in my lifetime. I couldn't get outside fast enough to see it but was wondering if it was about to crash. It seemed too early in the day for a flyover headed for Mount Rushmore which is about 50 miles away from me.
