Giuseppe Rapesta joined the police in 1951. After attending the Allievi School of Rome, he served at Rome Police HQ and then in the Rome Railway Police. At night on May 6th, 1982, a group of Nuclei Armati Rivoluzionari terrorists broke into his office at a railway station. They shot Agent Rapesta in the back of the head, stole his weapon, and fled into the night. 41 years ago today, Giuseppe Rapesta died of his injuries.
