Answer: Venus de Milo is an ancient Greek statue created by Greek sculptor Alexandros. Created sometime between 130 and 100 BC, it is believed to depict Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. The armless white marble statue of the Venus de Milo, was discovered in pieces on the Greek island of Melos in 1820. The statue's arms were never found, so it was reconstructed without them. In 1821, the sculpture was donated to the Louvre Museum in Paris. The statue is named after the Greek island of Milos, where it was discovered.
