Red Shouldered Hawk Portrait

There are several people in my circles who often refer to me as "the bird whisperer" because of the way they often let me get very close and even appear to know what I'm doing and WANT me to do their portrait LOL! Such was the case here. This bird flew from a place where I could not get a clear shot about 20 feet or so to this branch, low to the ground, and then allowed me to get within ten or fifteen yards and take pictures for about 15 minutes or so. I thanked him and went back to the pickup and he flew over to the other side of the canyon like, OK, I guess we're done for today!
