FROM THE DESK OF A MISSIONARY WHO JUST PASSED AWAY LAST WEEK--- HIS LAST TESTIMONIAL OF SERVICE
"THERE'S HOPE IN THE DARK ALLEY"
"I've met Michelangelo's imaginative Jesus today, in Tim, 31 years old, except all his teeth is decayed hideously from drug use. But the fresh scars in his body horrified me the most ever. Longest slice around his neck, the longest knife slash on his belly, a stab in his belly which even penetrated one lung, he said. I told him that's enough, when he proceeded to show me more stab and knife wounds. Tim said, "He and his friends were high on drugs and were doing more drugs together in his place, all of a sudden, they turned on him and sliced him up for no reason, somehow somebody called for help. I never seen these many stitches on a human body, still raw, just 3-4 weeks old. Boy, he was listening intensely."
Thanks to my prayer warriors who prayed for me, as I went back into the dungeon or dark alley of nursing homes, an hour away, right next to a big police station. Right away, I had to battle two men that were probably demon-possessed trying to shut me out/up, by saying stuttering nonsense ("utterances") unto me. I rebuked them in the Name of LORD Jesus Christ, audibly one after another, and lead them out from the room from disturbing others (you have to let them know that you're in charge, otherwise they'll take over... I've learned it the hard way). That was a Full Armor of God exercise, by Faith (Eph. 6:10-2, 1 John 4:1-7; Mk. 16:14-18).
5.45 pm: Our usual gathering place pre-Covid, was only occupied by few people. I noticed this young tall man walking around with a yarmulke & talking to a couple of them. I greeted him and asked whether he's the doctor, he said that he is the executive director (the Chief Wahoo there). He concluded and said, "He is very grateful that I'm there. Definitely put my mind at ease."
Though I started the music with a few, they trickled in from everywhere, hearing the sound of music. 20 minutes in, even a bigger crowd rushed in & towards the door left to me, escorted by couple of staff, all eager to get their "fix outside", & every time the door prepped open, I could smell the most horrendous order coming in out of heaven-knows-where. Whatever the substances they were consuming.
To my right, right then, Steven 50, came in and sat down, with big a smile and I can see him singing along with me. As the big crowd rushed out to "smoke", it gave me an opportunity to do heart-to-heart with Steven. I stopped one song, and found out his name was Steven.
I said, "You look like you're singing along. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus?"
He replied, "I used to...". By the grace of God, I replied to him, but He still loves you, Steven. He smiled big. He was only the one guy that didn't go out to smoke, too.
I noticed four or five people from the old days, two were nonverbal as I recalled, especially Cheryl, she rushed in between songs and stood in front of me quietly with a big smile, though she couldn't say anything. Then came my dear friend Anna, whom I have known the longest there as somebody that truly loves the LORD and genuinely loves those people and had a passion for them lost souls. Anna's one leg is amputated and with one leg she stepped in fast towards me on her wheelchair and asked, "Is that you my boy ... π?" I paused, so Anna could love on me.
She inquired, "What happened to your black hair & what happened to your weight, etc.? And she asked me, "Do you know how long I have known you?"
I said, "You tell me."
She said 11 years.
I said to Anna, "The Lord kept you all these years to minister to these lost souls."
She replied, "I try and I try, but they don't want to listen, it goes through one ear and comes out of the other, but I'm still trying...".
What a Faithful Servant/Warrior!!!
The last 2-3 songs were a hoot. With Anna leading the pack, there was beautiful African dance & singing. This one new lady had the voice of an archangel; Boy, she sang! I tried to keep up & as I looked ahead, I noticed at the nurse's station, 3-4 staff were watching on and dancing with us.
Now, I am scheduled there, every month, the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., keep praying...God is at work...even among the Forgotten!!!" πββͺ
"Therefore, then: As we have the Opportunities from the LORD, let us be working the Goodness of God to everybody, but especially unto the Households of the Faith." (Gal. 6:10)
