The last year has been the year of realizations for a lot of people including myself. I have seen the worst and best in people. The year has been like an automatic filter. It filtered out the people who didn’t want to be in my life. It made me appreciate people more but it also made me reflect and see the truth behind many others and their ill intentions.There are a lot of people who don’t know even know their true colors. They are like chameleons. They’re so used to the social disguises that they can’t settle on which is real and which is false. For most, they just become whatever works with the person or group they are with, and when alone, think in whatever role happens to interest them at the moment.Once you see the true colors these individuals can never be repainted. This year has been here to teach you something, it’s teaching you to take a closer look at everything around you and realize that troubling times reveal people’s actions which rarely match their words.Not every person is a liar, not everyone is a manipulator, not everybody wants to steal from you or just use you. There are decent people on Earth. Good people will be by your side through thick and thin, they’ll never see you as a someone who they can gain something from being friends with, they won’t use you and leave when you don’t serve what’s best for them any longer. I hope you’ll surround yourself with such people, and also become one.
