PFA: Perfluorooctanoic acid is a perfluorinated carboxylic acid produced and used worldwide as an industrial surfactant in chemical processes.
Chromium-6 (hexavalent chromium), is the cancer-causing chemical best known for its role in the Erin Brockovich story. It increases the risk of lung cancer and may also cause cancers of the nose and nasal sinuses.
THM (trihalomethanes) exposure causes injury to the kidneys, liver, bladder, and malfunction of the central nervous system.
