This is a photo of socialite Gloria Vanderbilt (Born Feb 20, 1924/Died June 17, 2019) and her two sons, Anderson Hays Cooper (Yes! CNN’s Anderson Cooper is Gloria’s son) and Carter Vanderbilt Cooper. Carter apparently committed suicide on July 22, 1988, at the age of 23. He jumped off the terrace of Gloria’s 14th floor Manhattan apartment. His death was determined by police as a suicide. Before Carter’s death, Anderson was Gloria’s favorite and the “Apple of her eye”. He became even more so, after his brother’s death.
