We celebrated my mom's 100th birthday at her assisted living apartment facility on Saturday, her actual birthday. The residents, many family members, and church friends turned out in force. We demolished two 1/2 sheet cakes and a LOT of ice cream and punch. We asked mom to say a few words, and she stood and started: "I was born on a farm in Illinois..." LOL. I whispered in her ear: "Mom, there IS a time limit..." It was a GREAT party!! Yes, she is wearing a tiara that has "100" on it :)
