49 years ago today, Public Security Patrolman Federico Masarin died - murdered in a false flag grenade attack by an Evolite terror group. The man who threw the bomb initially pretended to be an anarchist, but was later exposed as a member of the Fascist sect Ordine Nuovo ("The New Order"). Ordine Nuovo followed the philosophy of the Nazi occultist Julius Evola. Three others died as a result of the attack. While #Evola is long dead, and Ordine Nuovo has been dissolved twice (once it just renamed itself Ordine Nero ("The Black Order"), the second time the organization actually broke up, his writings remain influential in the neo-Fascist underworld - and his followers sometimes get frighteningly close to power.
