    I believe nanotechnology is the wave of the future turning humans into controlled robotic organisms to do the bidding of the elites

    Possibly, but they'd still need to be fed and have medical attention. Getting rid of the failure prone and expensive biology is preferable to greedy, self-seeking megalomaniacs.

    Initially I think humans would be used until the technology becomes advanced enough to eliminate the need for the human based robotics
