Five years ago today, a routine traffic stop of a SUV with two people in it turned into tragedy when the passenger shot Deputy Moore. The SUV fled, leaving Deputy Moore's body on the side of the road. When the fugitives were finally caught, the passenger died in the ensuing shootout. The getaway driver was captured alive. It turned out that this was not his first stupid high-speed chase - a previous one had included shooting at a police *helicopter*. The driver was a racist anti-government activist with a fondness for Nazism, and the passenger was his son, indoctrinated from youth in the ideology that would, in the end, lead to a spectacularly stupid death - and to the getaway car driver receiving a sentence of life without the possibility of parole last month. #BlueLivesMatter
