The current front runner in the Philippine elections never had a real working man’s job, never been real employer, never started a real business, never had any kind of skills that involve actual creation and innovation. BUT somehow those who will vote for him think he knows what businesses need, think he knows what workers need, knows how to run an economy like the Philippines’, and think he knows how to create jobs. This guy was a former governor of a province that is NOT among those richest in the country, even during and after his term. Fact of the matter is, he will be voted for because of his pedigree and his last name. Well Philippines is like that, many politicians, including Presidents were elected because of pedigree, celebrity status and family name. Two former Presidents of the Philippines came from a clan that was a bitter enemy of the clan of this front runner. Those two former Presidents were elected because, well, sympathy to their decedents. This front runner will be elected because his voters think his father is the GOAT among Philippine Presidents. This front runner will never unite the country, his dad’s history as Philippine President is divisive. There are so many controversies in his family, whether those are true or not, its really uncomfortable to see that he will hold the highest position in this archipelago of 110+ million people and 7,000+ islands in South East Asia.
