18 years ago today, Khursheva Sultonova, her father, and her cousin were attacked by a pack of neo-Nazis. The Nazis had bats, chains, and knives, and all that was missing was a target. Two survived; Khursheva did not. The unusual bravado in attacking when there were only seven Nazis against a family of three can be explained by the fact that Khursheva and her cousin were young - the cousin was eleven, and Khursheva was only nine years old.
