    My Grandmother had a flower basket. Dillo on it's back with the tail touching the nose as a handle. Taxidermists won't touch them anymore, hadn't in over 40 years because they can carry Leprosy, Hansen's Disease they call it now.

    Indeed they are, but they have a fatal flaw in their defenses, When startled, they will s[ring a couple of feet into the air. Not real effective if one is startled by a car driving over them.
