34 years ago today, Lieutenant Freddie Floyd House was murdered. The events leading up to Lt. House's murder began with a bombing. On January 16th, 1988, a Mormon church was attacked by members of a household cult that had broken away from society years before. The objective of the bombing was simple: it was meant to precipitate the crisis that would, the plotters hoped, place their leader in charge of the United States of America. Having placed the bomb, they retired to their farm to wait for their leader's return.
