William Shirer

William Shirer was a U.S. journalist living in Berlin, Germany from 1931 until 1940 and witnessed the rise of the Nazi party and how his German friends and colleagues slowly turned against him as they became more & more indoctrinated by government controlled Nazi propaganda. He documented his experiences and published them in his book "Berlin Diary" which I highly recommend.
