Utah & Minnesota facing legal threats for using ethnicity as a factor to determine Covid medical treatment
Health departments in the two US states could be facing discrimination suits after issuing guidance using race as a factor in prioritizing Coronavirus treatment. (Daily Mail)
The Utah and Minnesota Departments of Health published notices saying race should be considered when deciding eligibility for Monoclonal antibodies treatment due to the virus' impact in communities of color.
“Using a patient's skin color or ethnicity - rather than the unique and specific medical circumstances of an individual patient - as a basis for deciding who should obtain lifesaving medical treatment is appalling,” the head of America First Legal which is launching the suit told FOX.
