The report also cites the Jan 6 riots as an example of its umbrella term “social cohesion erosion” - as well as the growing US-China rivalry and booming military space race. Income inequality forced by the pandemic’s imbalanced recovery is expected to shoot up to 51 MILLION people in extreme poverty, as billionaires continue to get wealthier into the next decade.
