Zuckerberg continues to ‘colonize’ Hawaii: Including reservoir, site of deadly dam failure
Ignoring local outcry, Mark Zuckerberg has bought another 110 acres (about 1/2 a square kilometer) of land on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, which included a reservoir and a pristine forest.
The Meta/Facebook honcho and his wife now own 1,400 acres (5.5 square kilometers) of land on the island, much of it protected agricultural and conservation territory.
Zuckerberg has been accused of trying to ‘colonize’ the island since buying a mansion on it in 2014, and deciding to erect a wall to prevent other residents from accessing a local beach.
