I do, however, wonder about God's plan for us. I am assuming this is a 'trial' to see how we deal with Evil and its perpetrators.

I would never attempt to guess what Almighty God's plan is for us. I am a student of Eschatology & have studied biblical prophecy for decades. I kinda know what's coming, just not exactly what if will look like! It's a fasinating endeavor to study the many schools of thought on prophecy.
