40 years ago today, Romano Radici was murdered by a terrorist group called the Nuclei Armati Rivoluzionari (Armed Revolutionary Nuclei in English). The terrorists thought that killing an officer would distract police attention from investigating the wounding* of officers Salvatore Barbuto and Ciro Capobianco on the 5th.
As to what, exactly, led the NAR to think that the police dropping the investigation into an attack on officers to investigate another, similar attack *by them* would help them? I have to chalk that one up to #CocaineLogic.
The story of the NAR would be comedy if they didn't keep murdering officers and civilians. Bumbling conspiracies, cocaine decisions, an obscure mystic guru who still has followers today, false flag terror attacks, a blind gunman, bank robberies, anti-gay politicians apparently mentoring rentboys - and I say 'apparently' because the most prominent NAR member still free is very rich (despite having no known legal income sources that could account for the money) and loves to file libel suits.
