I agree I’ve eaten a Texas jalapeño I still sweat every time I think about it.

No, they’re not so bad. Now if you get a habanero... different story.
But it maybe in our blood 🤣
Baccab53
TexasRose oh I enjoyed it but I did break out in a sweat, had people coming up to asking if I was ok
Rick
TexasRose We have A&M to thank for that. They engineered them to be milder because the yankees thought they were too hot.

A friend gave me some Habaneros yesterday he grew, I ate one last night. 🥵

Gentle Friend Baccab53 , one drops the Habs in a bottle that has a dropper top (such as a tabasco sauce or Worcestershire sauce bottle) and cover with vinegar. Let sit for a couple of weeks in the fridge. Add a couple of drops to season a pot of chili.
Buffybutt
WaldoJPeabody gentle friend how do you get the peppers in the tiny opening? Chop fine?
WaldoJPeabody
Gentle Buffybutt We used to use the Worcestershire sauce bottle because of the dark glass, one could gently remove the plastic dropper top. The Hab's we used (45 years ago) were more an ornamental that would drop right in the bottle whole after washing. I imagine one could cut in half or quarters ... View More
Rick
Buffybutt You should cut the pepper but don't remove the seeds or the pith.
Baccab53
WaldoJPeabody I’ use a similar pepper/vinegar mix on greens it’s tasty.
